Publication

The Council of the International Glaciological Society (IGS) has decided to publish a thematic issue of the Annals of Glaciology on topics consistent with the Symposium themes. The Call for papers for Annals of Glaciology volume 64, issue 88 is posted on IGS Annals webpage. Submissions to this issue will not be contingent on presentation at the Symposium, and material presented at the symposium is not necessarily affirmed as being suitable for consideration for this issue of the Annals.

Participants of the symposium are encouraged, however, to submit manuscripts for this Annals volume.

The deadline for receiving manuscripts has been extended to 31 December 2022!

Steps to submit your paper for Annals of Glaciology

1. Go to https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/annals-of-glaciology and click on ‘Submit your article’.

2. Login into (or create an account at) the ScholarOne Online Submission System.

3. Select ‘Author’ on the top menu and select the kind of method you want to follow:

    • Traditional submission: submit a file that you have already prepared with MS-Word or LaTeX.
    • Overleaf submission: use the Overleaf programme to prepare your manuscript online in a kind of “LaTeX” and submit it once the document is ready. The Overleaf submission offers the advantage that your manuscript will be in LaTeX and will follow the template of the Annals, so that you can visualize how it will look like once it is published.

4. In any of the two submission options, you will be asked to fill a form with some basic information (title, authors, abstract, etc.). At some point in that form, the system will ask you to which issue of Annals you want to submit your article: one of the options will be ‘Annals 88 (Bilbao)’. Be sure to choose that option.
